Over Before It Begins
You know that you've missed something significant when you fall asleep at halftime of a game where Louisville is running all over Kentucky...and you wake up in the fourth quarter, and the star running back for Louisville is already on the crawl at the bottom of the screen because he's out for the season.Michael Bush sees the success that Matt Leinart has in his senior season and decides to forego the NFL for the chance at a Heisman and a Big East title. And this is the thanks he gets. Shame. But Bush it seems took out a $2,000,000 insurance policy for this season according to the good folks calling the game on ESPN. Makes you wonder if a guy like Leinart did the same thing (I'd be surprised if he didn't).
I wonder if Bush would have even been in the game if Kentucky hadn't scored those two late first half touchdowns against Louisville. But because it was still a 17 point game, there's no way you can fault Bobby Petrino for keeping Bush in the game so there's no reason to wonder about that. But here's what I do wonder...if Kentucky scored 21 points off of Louisville's defense (including TD passes of 73 and 80), what , for example, West Virginia's offense going to do against them? And what will WVU's defense do against a team that has to depend on Brian Brohm more than ever now?
